Very nice winter hike at the border between Bavaria and Austria. I did this hike together with the friends of the Hiking Munich Facebook group . Even if the peak is not particularly high, its position in the middle of Chiemgau Alps offers stunning views.
The hike doesn’t require a particular technique, except for the final ascent to the summit, which is a quite steep climb. I suggest bringing crampons if done in winter.

Ascent
From the parking lot follow the signs for “Rudersburg”. Follow the paved road into the forest (Forstweg). After about 30 minutes we reached a junction and continued for the Naringalm hut (alternatively one can continue and follow the trail to Rudersburg through the Wetterfahne).
We stopped at the Naringalm hut for lunch, enjoying the beautiful views from the terrace. Leaving the hut after about 40 minutes the easy forest road ends and the hardest part of the trail to the summit begins.
The last part goes through a forest of pines with a quite steep ascent till the summit.
