Back on track! Finally I was able to go back to the mountains after my knee surgery in January. I decided to go with this medium-easy hike in the Ammergauer Alps, which promised not too much snow on the top. This hike will make you climb the nice amount of three peaks one after the other!

Hike Description
Ascent
The hike starts from the little chapel of Kappel in Unterammergau, where you can park your car. From there you immediately turn left and follow the flat countryside road. After twenty minutes you will reach a junction, where you should turn right following the indications for Hörnlehütte. The road will start to climb, till becoming a trail in the forest. The trail eventually ends up at the Zeitberg, where the Hörnlehütte hut is located and you have wonderful views of the surrounding Alps.
Leaving Zeitberg, you start to climb the three horns (the Vordes, the Mittleres and the Hinteres Hörnle). After having enjoyed the views from the top of the Hinteres Hörnle, the descent begins.
