This hike has been completed on 31th August 2019 according to the Caminosantiago.gal description.
Third leg of our trip along the Camino del Norte to Santiago the Compostela. After the long walk of the day before, this looked like a nice Sunday walk. We left the monastery quite late this morning, at about 9 am, to wait for the opening of the grocery shop in Sobrado.

The Camino follows the main road of Sobrado initially, entering into small countryside road after a few hundred meters. Careful with the tractors and say hi to the kind local people, always keen to wish you “Buen Camino“.

The path eventually turns into a trail crossing some nice forests. A bless after all the concrete roads of the day before.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t last long and we were back on the street, which connects Sobrado to Arzua. The Camino here passes through the village of Boimorto, also provided with an Albergue, for the people that want to stay away from the crowd in Arzua.
Passed Boimorto, we continued until the small village of Sendelle, where we stopped for lunch in front of the small church.

Regained our energies, we continued towards Arzua, where we arrived after another hour walking. Arzua is a nice town, full of good restaurants (we found even a proper Italian pizzeria, il Fornaccio) and it is the place where the Camino del Norte meets the French way, so expect to find much more people from now on. It is also a good idea to try to arrive early if you want to find a spot in the communal Albergue. Anyway, even if you don’t manage, in Arzua you can find easily private hostels still quite cheap.
That’s all for today, stay tuned for the last leg of our Camino!
Ciao!
